How do I join?

Brain Builders commit to a minimum of $35 as a monthly contribution. You can do that here.

Do Brain Builders do anything other than donate?

Brain Builders learn! Each quarter, you’ll receive an update on one particular child in our care, letting you know how our program is working to build strong neural pathways. If desired, Brain Builders also invite us to speak at their church or civic club, even their corporation. As well, many of our Brain Builders bring groups to volunteer on Saturday mornings.

What if I am already a monthly donor?

If you currently donate monthly at $35 or more, you are automatically a Brain Builder and we’ll be in touch about that. If you’d like to increase the amount you give, send an email to Blake Garvelli, Donor Relations Director.

How is my monthly donation used?

Our monthly donors are the life blood of Talitha Koum’s brain development program, because day-in, day-out our therapeutic teachers ARE the program, and sustaining their salaries is key to all we do. Our teachers are mostly college graduates who could earn more elsewhere. But they are called to this work, and we are committed to ensuring they earn a living wage. Teachers deliver to our children both the nurture and the therapeutic interventions needed to overcome challenges and strengthen the neural pathways that bring them from birth to Kindergarten able to self-regulate and ready to learn.
